8yrs!!!

So last night Tim and I were getting ready for bed and I was setting the alarm on my phone and just happened to catch the date which then rang a bell in my memory.  I said to Tim “do you know what today is?” he said “ Sunday” and I said “no the actual date”  He said “ oh crap is it the 26th”  We had both forgot that yesterday was our 8yr anniversary!  Now that we have a wedding anniversary, our other one kind of became forgotten:(
Its so hard to believe that it has been eight years since this amazing relationship started.  We were both so young(still are), he was a senior I was a freshmen.  It was homecoming week and girls in my PE class that are his age kept mentioning to me how he liked me:)  One day while walking down to our cars he came up and asked if he could talk to me, it was pouring down rain so we went to his truck and he asked me to go to the dance with him.  We hung out at all the homecoming events, and then one night during that week, after his soccer game, he called me and asked if I wanted to start dating him, and its been the most amazing and challenging thing I have ever experienced besides being a parent.  He really is my best friend, we can talk about anything and everything.  We make each other laugh, cry, and want to pull our hair out, but at the end of each day we are still in love with each other just as much and even more than we were in the beginning.  We have been through so many changes these past eight years.  From him graduating and going to college, long distance relationship for 2 1/2 yrs, me graduating, moving in to our own apartment an hour from home, going to college together, getting engaged, becoming pregnant, moving home, new jobs, ,becoming parents, getting married, becoming parents again, back to school, and all the ups and downs in between.   Many people wouldn't have survived alot of the things we have been through, but its really only made us stronger, and I thank god every day for blessing me with such an amazing man that I am able to grow old with.  I love you Timothy Wayne~ to the moon and back and a million times more:)  Happy 8yr anniversary!!!

Looking forward to many many many more happy crazy fun years with you Tim!!!

Nice fall weekend

This weekend was a really nice one.  The weather was warm and sunny the whole time!  Friday Kaylynn went to stay with her aunt DiAnne and cousins for the night, and mommy daddy and Lydia went to the homecoming football game.  Our team played great and won! woohoo!  I cant remember the last time I went to one of our football games where we won, especially homecoming.  We must be improving!  Saturday Lydia and I got up early and went and watched uncle Nate play football.  They also played awesome and won 8-0.  Nate played great and took a couple hard hits!  Lyida loved all the action of both games.  We came home and daddy was putting up shelves in Lydia’s closet which I was so thankful for.  I am so tired of putting clothes on the floor or in her crib.  Now I just need to get some baskets to go on the shelves.  We cleaned house, inside and out, and chopped some wood.  Yes, I chopped wood.  Its a great stress reliever! Auntie brought Kaylynn home that afternoon.  She had a blast!  Today we’ve just hung around.  Tim helped some family friends split wood, and I and the kids went to the store and then to my parents.  That was as eventful as our day got.  We ended the night with a great dinner, a warm fire, baths, bedtime stories, and me making a few batches of apple pie filling as well as an apple cake(we have lots of apple:))  Back to school and work for us tomorrow.  Here are a few pictures from this weekend DSCN1847 DSCN1849

Happy 3 months Lydia Marie!

Lydia turned 3 months this Saturday!!  Guess time really does fly when your having fun!!!  She is getting so big.  She holds her head up so good, loves sitting in her bumbo chair, reaches for toys, sucks on her fist/thumb, laughs, smiles constantly, “swims” when she's on her belly, talks up a storm now, and is recognizing voices:)  She has started teething, and she is sleeping more through the night:)  She is an amazing baby very content and happy almost all the time.  She loves her baths, baby Mozart, and her sister( and mommy and daddy but she has an amazing connection with her sister)  She loves to be sang to, read to, is ticklish right under her ears and on her feet, and loves to watch anything with lots of action(sports).  Tim and I have truly been blessed with not one, but two, amazing beautiful little girls.  Here are a few pictures of our little Lydi Bug on her 3 month bday                               DSCN1850 DSCN1857 DSCN1862 DSCN1868 DSCN1872

Lydia wore her hair in pigtails to the game. When we came home I took them out and this is the result hahahaha!

Its my day off today and so far I have accompished nothing!!  Why is it that when I have the time to get things done I dont want to, but when I dont have the time I rush around and try to get as much done as possible???  I better get this posted and get to cleaning up before the lil one wakes up:)

Playing catch up again

Once again I have slacked off and made no posts all week, so here I am playing catch up!  We had a busy week filled with school, open house, games, and birthday party!   Bri and Camber came over Monday to hang out with us.  Camber and Lyida are two months apart and now that Lydia is getting older and interacting more, they love to lay on the floor and talk to each other:)  DSCN1738

They are getting so big!  Having them grow up together is going to be so fun, they will be BFF’s!

Tuesday night Bri and I went over to CDA for Doris’s birthday party.  We thought we would hang up our “mommy panties” for the night and have some fun being as 22yr olds:)  We had a blast but it was EXTREMLY hard for me to get up at 6am and go to school!!                   60030_1643643489847_1199641076_31854204_3499503_n

Rain, rain, go away….

It was bad weather almost this whole weekend, so we basically stayed indoors the whole time.  On Friday(17th) we decided to take the girls to the park, which was a great idea since we couldn't really get out the rest of the weekend.  DSCN1700

How we were able to get all four of us to smile for the camera is a miracle! ha-ha

Since we were indoors most the weekend, I managed to get Kaylynn’s room cleaned out and organized.  Her bday is in two weeks and Xmas isnt too far away so I figured I better clear some things out before new things start coming in.  However, I did not manage to get much more of the house cleaned…oops;)  Guess that will be added to this weeks to-do list;)  Hopefully it will be nicer next weekend!  Its back to the work/school grind tomorrow so I better get off here and get things ready.  Good night:)

A whole new kind of attitude

So within the last couple weeks Kaylynn has really started throwing some fits.  I mean, I thought she threw some bad fits before, but this is way worse!  I dont know where all of it came from  but BAM one day she just came outta nowhere with it.  I never knew a 2 1/2 yr old could have such anger issues.  Tim and I are so tired of yelling and spanking, none of it even phases her, so we have taken a new approach to this nasty little attitude.  A friend of mine created a blog that talks about her journey through parenting using love and logic.  I really liked the idea ,so that is what we are trying now.  My mom has the actual book  so  I'm  going to read it to get a better understanding of it all, but so far it is working better than yelling and spanking.   I have been so worried that she has carried this behavior over to school, so I asked her teacher today how she has been doing and she said she hasn't been mean like I had told her she was at home, she said she has been doing really good, but  is EXTREMLY stubborn…go figure haha.  I am just glad my little “princess” is at least being a little nicer at school!  She really is still my princess though, as mean as she can be, all it takes is a little hug or kiss or an ‘i love you mommy” to melt my heart:)   On a lighter note, school for me is going great!  I had my 1st computers test today and I think I did very well….lets just say we had 2hrs to complete it and I was finished in 5 haha.  Im enjoying this “smart” feeling now because I know as we progress in the program I will start to loose that ha-ha.  Our poor little Lydi has been battling her 1st cold for the past week or so, running/congested nose, chest congestion, and today she was running a fever:(   Gotta love the “first signs of fall” colds.  Luckily she just goes to the shop with my mom while Im gone so neither Tim or I have had to miss work/school to stay home with her.  Fingers crossed Kaylynn stays healthy!!  I definantly going to start remembering to give her her vitamins!!! I am in love with her hair!  I always say how happy I am she was a girl with all this hair because if we had a boy I would be way to tempted to do all of this to it lol

Playing catch up

So I know I said I was going to try to do at least 2 posts a week, but I've been slacking:(  So I'm going to attempt to catch up!  Kaylynn finished her 3 days and then spent Thursday and Friday(2nd and 3rd) home with me and Lydia.  This past weekend was Paul Bunyan Days which is always quite the shindig.  Friday we spent the day at home cleaning and Tim chopped up some firewood.  Saturday Lydia and I went to a bridal shower for a good family friend, while Kaylynn and daddy stayed at home and watched incredibles:)  Tim and I went out that night and the girls spent the night with nana and poppa.  Lena, Shaun, Connor, and Brea came down for the weekend so Kaylynn had a blast playing with Breanna:)   Tim and I enjoyed getting out of the house and socializing with people  who are actually our age. 41122_10150252613770475_836390474_14916385_5561174_n  Tim ended up going home after awhile and I stayed out and went to the car club dance.   Surprisingly I woke up feeling pretty good the next day considering how much “fun” I had the night before :)  Sunday Tim and I slept in and then went up to my parents.  We ended up going to lunch at my grandparents house which was nice since I don't feel I get out there and see them enough, I am so horrible about that type of stuff.  Sunday night is always the big fireworks show, so we went down a little bit earlier and let Kaylynn ride a couple rides.

DSCN1575DSCN1572 Brea & Kbear

We were a little unsure of how the girls would do with the fireworks, but Lydia slept the entire time and Kaylynn wasn't too fond of them but nana held her under her blanket and she was just fine.  She kept asking if they were over and as soon as nana said “yep the fireworks are over” her head popped right up happy as can be ha-ha.  Here are a few pictures of the fireworks:DSCN1581 DSCN1582 DSCN1586 DSCN1597

I was tired so I went home with the girls afterwards while Tim went out to the OX for a couple hours.  Monday we got up early, grabbed some doughnuts and coffee and watched the parade.  DSCN1600 DSCN1614 DSCN1612 DSCN1621

DSCN1616 DSCN1619

Kaylynn was SO into the candy.  She wanted nothing to do with anyone in the parade unless they threw candy.  We asked her how much candy she had and she responded “ not enough” ha-ha.  We headed back down to the carnival afterwards since that is by far the best day to ride rides…no lines!  Kaylynn rode a few rides.  She wanted to ride the Octopus really bad so we said ok and Tim got on the ride with her.  She thought it was pretty cool until it started going fast and spinning lots, then her mind change quick, but she stuck it out and finished the ride.  I wonder if she will want to ride it again next year? lol  We ate pizza for lunch, then came home and just relaxed…the weekend tired us all out!

DSCN1622 DSCN1625

School for me started Tuesday as well as Kaylynn’s actual preschool.  We both had a great first day although I think Kaylynn had way more fun at her school then I did ;)  Today was my last day for the week and I am so happy I don't have to drive to Spokane until Monday!  I am already so sick of driving!!  Tonight we went and watched auntie Marlee play some volleyball.  It was their 1st home game of the season and they of course won:)  Lydia loved watching all the action and she even stayed awake the whole time…until the game was over, then she was out,and Kaylynn loved to clap and cheer them all on

Now were home, kids in bed, Tim on the Xbox, and I am enjoying some quiet time to myself.   Whew…I think I got this all caught up now!!! Hopefully I stay more on top of this.  OK a couple more pics from today to end this post.  Goodnight!!
