Birthday, horse riding, and 1st day at daycare/school!!

So just catching up on yesterday and today.  We had a great Sunday.  Kaylynn and I were invited to one of Kaylynn’s friends Bday but that was a bust! Not the party, but Kaylynn!  She got woke up too early and was a total bear and then at the party she had a major meltdown because mommy didn't bring her blanket, so we left before the party really even began:(  I was so not in the mood to deal with a cranky 2 yr old though, especially not in public.  We came home and chilled out for a little bit and then headed up to my parents for a family dinner for Nate's B-day which was the day before.  He chose ribs and baked potatoes for dinner, and boy did “oink” make for some tasty ribs….sad I know.  Here is the B-day boy himself…cant believe he is 12 already!DSCN1552

Me, Mar, and Kaylynn then went out to do some horse riding:)  Kaylynn had been asking me for days if she could ride so we saddled up Trinket and let her rideDSCN1548  DSCN1549DSCN1550 DSCN1553                                                       She loves Trinky

Even I managed to get my big butt  up on the horse, but there will be no pictures of that so here are these instead lolDSCN1555

Today(Monday) I had orientation for school so I figured that would be a good time to let Kaylynn get familiar with her new daycare/school. Actual school for her doesn't begin until the 7th but she will never know the difference,so today she had her 1st day of school!  She was so excited to go!

Here she is all ready for her 1st day of school!  Ahh she is growing up way too fast for me!!  Makes me sad yet excited all at the same time!

DSCN1562She had a wonderful day at school and cant wait to go back!  Whew such a relief to me that she likes it and wants to return, last daycare wasn't this successful!

Well that's all for now, its 12:30 and I have a lil one who will be up at any moment wanting fed and another who will be up at around 630-7 so I better make myself go to bed!  G-night!

Another fair weekend

We had quite the busy weekend!  Saturday was my brother Nate’s 12th bday and my parents were away at Marlee’s vball tournament, so me, Tim, the girls, and Nate headed over to Cda for the fair.  We had so much fun!  Kaylynn loved the little petting zoo type area they had set up.             DSCN1469 DSCN1470

Even Lydia got in on the petting actionDSCN1475 DSCN1478 DSCN1479

We checked out all the animals, my cousins Connor and Brea had animals at the fair, so we made sure to stop by and check them out.  We even went into the Kritter Korner which was full of reptiles!  Yuck!                   DSCN1484                                                                  Me and Lydia just hung back away from all the cages and tanks full of nasty lil reptiles. Here is a picture of how Lydia kept entertained:DSCN1480                                    She stared at that balloon forever!

Kaylynn got to see her alligator that she had been dying to see, then I hightailed it out of that place! We checked out some more barns                                        DSCN1488

Then we ate lunch, met up with aunt Lena and Brea and rode some ridesDSCN1489

The girl loves to drive:)

We finished our day at the fair with some cotton candy/ice cream and a tightrope/motorcycle show which was really cool!  Those guys have some talent!

We were all so tired from all the fun, so we ran through the Taco Bell drive thru  and headed home.  All 3 of the kids fell asleep so you know that we did a good job of wearing them out!  And to think we get to do this all over again this coming weekend!!!

New School

For those of you that don't know, I have decided to go back to school!  I am doing an accelerated program  for Medical Assistant.  Its four days a week for 14 months with an hr drive to and from school!  I am super excited and super nervous about going back  with 2 kids and a hubby who is working full time, but I cant wait to get in and get out and get working!  With me going back to school we have had to find places for the girls to go.  Mom has offered to take Lydia and keep her at the office with her while she is still young and not yet mobile:)  Ive kind of put off finding somewhere for Kaylynn because I was really wanting to avoid daycare and see if family could watch her, but it ended up that she would be bouncing from one place to another all week and thats just not something Tim or I really want.  We dont need the confusion and Kaylynn needs some stability and more of a set schedule, so yesterday I contacted a daycare/preschool  and set up an appt to check things out.  Kaylynn and I went there today and we were both very happy with the facility:)  She will be doing lots of preschool curriculum that will prepare her for kindergarten as well playtime and its in a in-home setting which I like as well.  A few of her friends from her previous daycare also go there which will be nice for her to have some familiar faces.  Kaylynn was in a really bad mood while we were there but once we go home we talked and she said she wanted to go to school and she is VERY excited to bring her backpack to school and have her own cubby:)  Ahhh my baby is growing up!  Her 1st day is going to be Monday, I have orientation so she is going to go there for a few hours to get use to the kids and environment, hopefully all will go great and she wont have trouble leaving me or vise versa lol.  Its going to be tough going from being with my baby almost everyday to having to leave her 4 days a week.  Its a big adjustment for us all and I just have to remind myself that in all the craziness, its for the best!!

Here are a few pictures from today to end this post:)

Buggy is 2 months

Our lil Lydi bug turned 2 months yesterday!

DSCN1406 8-25-10

Boy has she grown fast in these 2 months! FotoFlexer_Photo

She has really started to “talk” now and she even did a full out laugh yesterday morning while she was sleeping on my chest:) I had to hold back my laugh because I didn't want to wake her, but dang it was cute!   Must have been a really good dream:)  She smiles more than any baby I have ever met.  Since birth she has smiled and she continues to flash that beautiful smile more and more, especially if you sit and talk with her:) Her whole face lights up and I must say it is one of the most beautiful things.    Today we had her 2month well-baby check up and her 1st set of shots:(

Here are a few pics from the dr. appt:                             DSCN1426   DSCN1427DSCN1428

Our so called “little” Lydia isn't quite so little haha.  She weighs 12lbs 3oz (95 percentile) and is 23 1/2inches (95 percentile).  Dr. Prince said she is perfectly proportionate and well fed for sure haha.  Then came shot time:(  I always feel so bad when the girls go to the drs. in such great moods and then its ruined by stinkin shots!  Lydia was laying there talking and smiling and then that changed fast to crying the saddest cry.   She did well though and only cried for a minute or so and then was ready to eat some more, ha-ha .  I was so proud of myself for not crying!! DSCN1433                                                    We left the drs and headed straight to Target because I had forgot to pick up some Tylenol.  So we got that and gave her a dose  and she slept the whole way home, shots wears a baby out!  I am hoping she does well and doesn't run a fever or any of that sort, but I guess we shall wait and see what the night has in store….may be a long night of cranky baby so I better finish this up and get some sleep while I can!

Here are a few more pictures from todayDSCN1417                                  Getting a bath at nana and poppa’s before our appt. DSCN1418                                                                     Hanging out with my uncle Matty

And here is one of Kaylynn from yesterday.  Nana came up and  watched the girls while Tim and I went to the hospital for my MRI. Poor Kaylynn was so tired from not napping all day and this is the way we found her when we came home

DSCN1399

Good News!

Dr. called back with results from MRI and the cyst is benign!  Its fluid filled and perfectly round which is good.  The cyst is located in what's called pineal gland and Dr. compared the size of the cyst to the size of a fish egg, so very small.  Its not in a area that will cause any problems by leaving it, so that too is good news.  The neurologist wants me to have it rechecked in a year just to make sure there has been no changes in it, but otherwise Im good to go:)  I feel like a million pounds have been lifted from me!  I just thank God and my guardian angel(s) for being with me and  helping me through this scary time.

Cyst

So today I had a follow up appt with my doctor to see how I was feeling after being on my antidepressant/anxiety medication.  I had been in about 3 weeks ago for some sinus issues and they did a CT scan.  The CT showed nothing was wrong which was a huge relief, or so I had thought.  I went back in today thinking it was just going to be a quick in and out appt, but I sure was wrong.   Dr informed me that while the radiologist was looking over my CT  he happened to find a small cyst on my brain. The cyst is located in the part of the brain that controls my sleep cycle and the way light affects me( I cant remember the actual medical name of it.)  The second I heard this I just broke down and fear took over me. All I could think was “what if this is cancer.”   Dr. said she wanted to schedule a MRI asap, not because it was something super serious, but because she knows how bad my anxiety is and wanted to take care of it right away for my sanity.  On top of the stress about the cyst, we also had to figure out how I was going to afford this MRI.  I have no insurance at the moment and my MRI is between $3,500- 4,000!  They had me go and talk  to the billing department and figure out a way for me to afford this all.  My MRI is scheduled for tomorrow at 3:45 and I am absolutely terrified for what they will find out.  I am trying to stay as positive as possible though and remind myself that god will take care of me, and I have my grandpa and 2 great grandparents who are looking over me as well.  All I know is I have 2 precious little girls and a husband who need their mommy/wife  and I need them and I will do whatever I have to do to be healthy and be the mother and wife I want to be.  I just ask that you pray for good results on my MRI, I could use all the prayers I can get right now!
With having such a stressful day I didn't take many pictures, but here are 2 that I took of KaylynnDSCN1393                      Stylish Chick
DSCN1396                I swear Im not letting my 2yr old drink Coke, she wanted to fill it up with water once I was done with it lol.

Orange horses and goat riding

Kaylynn came back from her 2 day stay at Tim’s parents, just in time for the fair.  I took the girls down on Friday and we checked out all the animals, Kaylynn even found her pig “oink” down there!  For those of you who don't know, Kaylynn had a pig this year  which she named Oink.  Well Oink got to be quite large and started to go lame on a leg, so a couple weeks ago Oink went to a “new home.”  So when she saw a pig that looked just like Oink, she figured that the fairgrounds was where Oink’s new home was:)  So cute!

Here is a pic I took while hanging out at nana and poppa’s camper.                                                  IMG_8678

Yesterday was the big sale day. So the whole fam got up early and headed down to watch. I didn't get any pics  during the sale b/c my battery was going  dead :( but sister and the boys did very well selling their animals.

This is what Lydia thought of all the action IMG_8679

After the sell we went over and watched the rodeo. IMG_8682

IMG_8681

It was there that Kaylynn decided she wanted to ride a goat of all things haha.  She was pretty disappointed that she wasnt able to ride any goats at the rodeo, but I told her next time we go to nana and poppa’s, she can ride Frank:)  She thought that was pretty dang cool!  Kaylynn is starting to really get into horses and during the rodeo she picked a horse out from across the arena that she wanted to ride.  She informed us all that that was HER horse and his name was orange:)  She wanted to ride so bad and luckily enough, after the rodeo, I found someone who let her ride, it wasn't her orange horse but it was good enough:)   Her and auntie Mar rode together 1st and then she wanted to ride alone.  Here are a few pictures of her riding:)

We all had a great time at the fair and cant wait to do it again nxt year!
